The Summer's Starting!

Is Memorial Day the official or the unofficial beginning of summer? We can all start wearing white, now. Swimming isn't limited strictly to the summer months, but wearing a bathing suit to a dinner party really isn't appropriate throughout the rest of the year.

Of course, today is also the day that we honor those who have died in service to their country. We're pretty good in talking about the honor we feel, but we're not always as strong in following through. It's important never to forget, but it's also important to act in ways that make these memories relevant. Memorial Day is particularly intended to remember those who have been lost, but we can best show that we honor them by honoring those who have served and those who continue to serve.
