Abramoff Turns

Call Monty Hall--Jack Abramoff has made a deal with prosecutors. He may not be the vortex of all government scandal in Washington, but he's darn close. It looks like Ohio Rep. Bob Ney has the most immediate concerns, but Tom DeLay, Ralph Reed, Grover Norquist, and a host of others will play into this before it's all over. As dengre pointed out in Daily Kos the other day, 210 is a low-ball number of the sitting members of Congress (House and Senate) who have accepted Abramoff contributions over the years. The Washington Post has a one-stop shop for its coverage of the matter if you want more background.

UPDATE--For an even better cheat sheet of who's who and what's what in the Abramoff rigmarole, check out Think Progress's Abramoff summary.

I hope Abramoff doesn't wind up accidentally falling onto a knife 154 times.

I salivate at the thought of corrupt politicians getting busted through most of 2006.
