Past tense, but I was watching a Traveltalks short about Ontario. Edifying.
Was it about Ontario in general, or did it focus on specific parts? Ontario is a massive province, so it could almost be about anything. What did you learn?
It was both general and specific.
Ontario is a land of lakes, so a majority of the short showed the beauty of the lakes and the recreation they provide. Apparently, portage was still quite popular. The lakes also provide ample opportunity for fishing - even for women! Much of the lake scenery was located near Algonquin National Park (So, Eastern Ontario). They transitioned to the lake bordering Toronto, and the opportunities for shipping that it has. A quick trip around Toronto showed a Highland band, linking Ontario to its Scots roots. (Amazingly, there was no trip to Yonge Street. Maybe it wasn't much back whenever.)
Finally, because it is just as beautiful in Canada, they went to Niagara Falls - which the narrator seemed to hate. He drew out the word Niagara very slowly every time, as if he was daring someone to correct his pronounciation.
