Happy Canada Day!
A few days ago, I linked to a Canadian heritage spot that celebrated the Canadian roots of Superman. But for Canada Day, here's a superhero whose Canadian bona fides are irrefutable: Captain Canuck!

True story: A good friend of mine has a friend named Chris Marvel. Chris' father was in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of captain. I've repeatedly asked my friend if he could perhaps obtain a photo of Captain Marvel in uniform, but so far no luck. It's one of those things that wouldn't be so interesting if I made it up, but the fact that it's true is, I think, quite wonderful.
