Karl to Rove No More?

A few developments in the Valerie Plame leaking case that you may have seen elsewhere, but what the hell.

Matt Cooper of Time magazine avoided jail time today when the source he was protecting (we still don't know who for sure) released him from his promise of confidentiality.

The New York Times's Judith Miller had no similar reprieve and was sent to jail for not revealing her source (we have no idea whether this is the same person as Cooper's source or not).

Meanwhile, James Wolcott, in a post on W's unfortunate biking accident this afternoon in Scotland, links to a short piece from Joshua Frank at Counterpunch stating that a number of Frank's sources are claiming an impending indictment against Karl Rove later this week or early next. It's far too soon to start getting smug, but it looks like maybe Plame's husband, Joe Wilson, will get his wish to see "Karl Rove frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs" after all.
